Candynce Boney and Masha Pozar were named to the Atlantic 10 First Team for the 2008 Season. Boney and Pozar both went 1-1 in No. 1 doubles and singles at the A-10 Championship. Boney finished the season with an 18-10 singles record and a 24-11 doubles record. She lead the team with singles wins, Laura Danai was second with 17. The UMass women's tennis team received word today that they will be the No. 1 seed in the 2008 women's tennis Atlantic 10 Tournament. The ranking was a result of going undefeated in the Atlantic 10 during the regular season.
