2008 Marnie Dacko Basketball School Information

AMHERST, Mass. -- The application for the 2008 Marnie Dacko Basketball School is now available. Shooting camp will be held June 30 through July 2, while a post camp will be held from August 8-10. Shooting School Highlights (June 30- July 2) For girls entering grades 3-12 Includes a t-shirt and daily snack Individual instruction with coaches & players Develop the proper shooting technique Work on creating your own shot, ball handling, and offensive moves Improve shooting accuracy and distance Shooting competitions Tuition Per Participant: $150 A typical day at shooting camp Location: Boyden Gymnasium 9:00 AM Attendance Stretch/Warm-Up Team competition (relays, shooting, races, etc ...) Breakdown of shooting technique/Drills Competitive team shooting competitions Lecture on shooting 12:00 PM Session ends Post School (August 8-10) For girls entering grades 3-12 Includes a t-shirt and daily snack Individual instruction with coaches & players Develop post moves Work getting open on the block and high post Improve post positioning Rebounding/Post defense drills Tuition Per Participant: $150 A typical day at post camp Location: Boyden Gymnasium
Post camp meets from 5:00-8:00 PM on August 8 and then from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM on August 9-10 Attendance Stretch/Warm-Up Team competitions (relays, shooting, races, etc ...) Breakdown of proper post positioning Post moves on the block and high post Lecture Session ends The Staff: Head Coach Marnie Dacko and her staff will direct the Marnie Dacko Basketball School. The staff is in their sixth season of coaching the University of Massachusetts women's basketball team. The staff is comprised of UMass assistant coaches Mary Ciuk, Jada Pierce, and camp director Jodi Culbertson. Coach Dacko is a great teacher of the game and participants will enjoy her positive coaching style. Dacko is in her sixth season at UMass, and has been a head coach for more than 10 years. She has over 20 years of coaching experience and the staff as a whole has more than 60 years of coaching experience. Join Dacko and her staff for a great session of basketball. You will learn the fundamentals of the game and leave a better player! |
